8 Girlboss Instagrammers to Follow Today

STAYING MOTIVATED (OR JUST SANE) CAN BE TRICKY WHEN YOU'RE RUNNING A BUSINESS OR BUILDING YOUR CAREER. WE COULD ALL USE SOME MAJOR INSPIRATION, LIKE, YESTERDAY.

We’ve turned to some of Instagram’s self-made girlbosses for inspiration on going against the flow, propelling your career forward, and a daily dose of self-confidence. Because we're all about feeds full of latte art and homegood flat lays, there’s a whole world of work and hustle accounts out there that you just might have overlooked. Simply put: You may think that #floralfriday and career domination don't mix, but Instagram proves otherwise.

Got 10 minutes?  In honor of the ladybosses that infiltrate our work lives, we’ve rounded up a collection of our our favorite women that inspire us to never stop hustling. Follow each of them to stalk their daily routines for some career inspiration (and okay, maybe a hint of jealousy). And feel free to share some of your own favorites in the comments.

1. THE RISING TIDE SOCIETY

Two young and bright photographers, Natalie and Krista, started this movement dedicated to positive vibes every day. Their inspiring, creative community and message of #communityovercompetition has gathered the attention of more than 44,000 Instagram followers. We're obviously all about the idea of women helping women. When not snapping pics for Instagram, the girls of The Rising Tide Society are attending TuesdaysTogether events or hosting webinars.

2. HILARY RUSHFORD

Hilary Rushford is a fun, bubbly brand mentor and stylist based in Brooklyn, NY. Not only are her fashion choices super gorgeous (and affordable) and her images on point, she also offers an insanely impressive collection of free resources and advice for her trendy, business-minded followers via her Honor Society community. Talk about an overachiever!

3. JOANNA WATERFALL

Joanna Waterfall is the young, California-living founder of the Yellow Co. She loves inspiring creative women to use their passions to influence the greater good (she even helps out around Career Contessa) . And, most recently she’s launching The Yellow Collective to empower her community with free resources and quarterly events. Consider us officially part of the fan club.

4. BRAID CREATIVE

Two sisters, Kathleen Shannon and Tara Street, have a penchant for inspiring creatives to follow their dreams and build a bold brand vision. Their Instagram is fun and bright, just like them. Our favorite quote from the sisters: “Because dreams don’t happen. They’re made.” {click to tweet} You'll also find Kathleen Shannon on the Love Being Boss podcast where she’s dishing out weekly inspiration.

5. BABE VIBES

Babe Vibes is a trailblazing collection of work created by creative women. Designer and founder, Kara Haupt, depicts images of being females in power and pushes the limits in the coolest ways. Babe Vibes recently launched their Pep Talk Generator and Methods of Self-Care. If you’re feeling empowered, give them some love on Kickstarter.

6. GRIT & VIRTUE

Grit & Virtue is a talented group of San Francisco-based women with confident personalities and entrepreneurial spirits. They are seemingly always inspiring us through their risk-taking quotes coupled with gorgeous photography. Their daily mantras like “Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.” have redefined what success means for us. We’re also big fans of their weekly newsletter that’s packed with passion and encouragement!

7. PRIM'D MARKETING

San Francisco-based ladies of Prim’d Marketing, Sophie Davies, and Jenni Brown, are no strangers to the Instagram world; they’ve worked on brands like in Samsung, Calvin Klein, and Pepsi. Their latest project? Something they call "The Brand Plan" — essentially a 20-page brand bible that's part story, part strategy, and (inevitably) part cool girl vibes. In other words, it's a compact resource that helps creatives solidify their brand vision and successfully share it with the world. NBD.

8. EVA GOICOCHEA

Digital content creator and brand strategist, Eva Goicochea, is undoubtedly a lady boss worth following. Her inspirational posts of waffle-eating and gorgeous documentation of her travels have us imagining Eva meticulously designing each detail just to create a stunning brand strategy. She's so good at it, in fact, she teaches regular digital branding classes in Los Angeles and New York. With a penchant for creating beautiful brand designs like Maude and Tinker Watches and a clear love for what she does, Goicochea is a dream to keep up with.
