CAREER CONTESSA (CC) makes it easy for women to confidently navigate and advance their careers with expert advice and tools. We have an opening for a full-time Content Marketing Coordinator to join our growing company and work in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.
In this position, you will report directly to the CEO and our Content Director. You will work closely with us to write, edit, design, and produce content across the CC channels that’s engaging, unique, and aligns with the CC voice and tone.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Content
- Researching and writing weekly short- to mid-form articles on topics related to work/careers with a particular emphasis on topics that are relevant to women at work
- Helping our content director create and manage sponsored content for partner brands, which includes writing and/or editing articles, e-guides, interview features, and email blasts, among other projects
- Assisting with brainstorming content topics and other needs as they come up—must be willing and able to adapt
- Turning in clean, typo-free copy that’s a breeze for us to read and requires minimal edits, and editing copy to ensure it’s on-brand and a pleasure for our audience to read
Marketing
- Proactively manage the social media calendar to ensure a steady stream of compelling & on-brand content across all channels
- Design weekly social media graphics as well as graphics for content, email, and other special projects
- Research and execute new strategies to grow social media engagement and networks
- Social media doesn’t take weekends off—you must be organized and willing to post content daily, including evenings and weekends
REQUIREMENTS:
- Familiarity with Career Contessa’s brand and voice
- Skilled in Adobe Illustrator
- A natural project manager who thrives on keeping complex projects on track, especially when juggling multiple projects at once
- Skilled writer and editor who is a collaborative team player and can work quickly
- Familiarity or willingness to learn Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Tailwind, Instagram, MeetEdgar, Iconosquare, Google Docs—and a general Internet-savviness
- Someone who prides themselves on meeting every deadline (and who believes in only requesting extensions when absolutely necessary)
- A creative problem-solver who can self-manage and take initiative
- A dedicated interest in exploring the many elements that affect women at work, from gender politics to the intersectional experiences of women of color to professional ageism and working motherhood, among many others (You should read a lot.)
BONUS
- Experience working in a CMS (WordPress, Squarespace, Blogger, etc.)
- Experience with Basecamp, Slack, Google Docs, and/or Dropbox
