Mallory graduated from the University of Missouri in 2011 with a Bachelor of Journalism degree emphasizing in photojournalism. Following graduation, Mallory experienced the whole gamut of jobs in "the industry", ranging from internships with news organizations and filmmakers to working in the field as a freelancer. Currently she is a photo editor for National Geographic in Washington D.C.
