This position contributes to the design and delivery of research projects and collaborates with researchers to develop, execute and interpret research projects. Performs complex data collection and study methods.

Duties:

Working in Deans Office at the University of Illinois at Chicago, School of Public Health, in the office of the Associate Dean for Community Engagement:
  • Contribute to design, execution, analysis, interpretation and dissemination of research,   teaching and public health practice projects that involve university-academic partnerships.
  • Formulate and assist in the conduct of community based participatory research projects
  • Organize and manage grant proposals
  • Assist with writing, formatting, and disseminating outputs from research and other collaborative activities
  • Assist in writing and preparing manuscripts for publication
  • Develop, vet, and maintain comprehensive protocols
  • Monitor project development and participate in decisionmaking about methods and protocols
  • Communicate with community partners directly and through various media formats
  • Convene partners
  • Plan academic community forums
  • Guide, train and advise students on methods and procedures related to community-academic partnership activities
  • Other miscellaneous activities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social science or related field required. Master’s degree in social science preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years related research experience.
  • Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods.
