The Marketing Copywriter will be responsible for writing copy for executions and channels including email, packaging, display, print, paid social, and B2B. You’ll play a key role in brainstorming, developing, and executing concepts that range from direct response to brand awareness campaigns. In this role, you’ll work closely with other writers, designers, and video editors, as well as key stakeholders across the lifecycle, acquisition, and partnership marketing teams.

The ideal candidate brings the strategic, brand-first thinking of an agency copywriter coupled with a strong results-oriented approach. Requirements include a strong knowledge of healthy living; a solutions-focused creative streak; and an ability to thrive alongside your co-workers in a fast-paced environment with a high bar for excellence. A successful candidate will take ownership of messaging strategy and execution for a channel and/or project, and contribute to the efficiency of the Content, Acquisition, and Creative teams by adding new ideas and approaches to meet Thrive Market’s marketing objectives. Experience with a variety of marketing touchpoints is essential, as is an ability to distill key messages down to their essence, no matter where those messages appear. Ultimately, the candidate for this role will help to develop standards, systems, and best practices by acting on marketing insights.

This role will report to the Senior Editor, Content Strategy & Promotions.

Core Responsibilities

  • Work with the Senior Editor, Content Strategy & Promotions to generate a strategic messaging approach for relevant channels/touchpoints
  • Own the copy creation process for a variety of marketing channels/touchpoints, primarily promotional email, paid social and digital, and branded response campaigns
  • Communicate the Thrive Market mission and value proposition in an impactful, authentic way that improves engagement and generates leads
  • Assist with short-form copy creation for other verticals as needed


  • 3-5 years meaningful experience at an ad agency or in-house creative team with a strong focus on digital marketing
  • Strong portfolio showing a variety of marketing executions with an emphasis on digital
  • Mastery of standard English spelling, grammar, and style
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to strike a balance between showing initiative and seeking input from others
  • Highly collaborative team player
  • Detail-obsessed with a high standard for professionalism
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field
